Supporting Vulture Culture
As part of our proud tradition of supporting conservation efforts, DHL Supply Chain joined forces with Vulpro in South Africa to relocate 160 endangered vultures from Vulpro in the North West Province to Vulpro in Shamwari Private Game Reserve based in the Eastern Cape. Over 1000 km’s and 18 hour’s later, the Cape and African White-backed vultures settled into their new home. Vulpro is the only vulture conservation organization of its kind on the contenet and is spearheading population restocking and supplementation to address the severe decline of African vulture species.
